Izaak L. Rubin

At some point I'll flesh this out and make this a real home page... for now, it's just an unstyled stub.

A quick summary of me: I was born and raised in the SF Bay Area, and got my BS and MS in Computer Science from Stanford University in March 2011. During my time at Stanford, I interned at Powerset in San Francisco, and at Google in Sydney, Australia. I also did research with Prof. Jennifer Widom as part of the Stanford InfoLab. I joined Google full-time in September 2011, and worked at their headquarters in Mountain View on the new version of the desktop Google Maps website. In May 2013, I transferred back to Google's Sydney office. Since then, I've been the engineering lead for the "Lite Mode" of desktop Google Maps, as well as the Google Maps mobile website.

I've done a bit of traveling, and travel blogging, most notably during a 3.5 month round-the-world trip I took in 2011. Check out my travel blog to read all about it!
